Dr. Austin Chang, M.D.

An Austin native, Dr. Chang earned his biology degree magna cum laude from The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from UTMB, where the faculty appointed him chief resident. He went on to serve as a clinical professor at UTMB Galveston, instructing other ophthalmologists in cataract and LASIK surgical technique.

Before joining Texas Vision, he spent years as Chief Ophthalmologist at King's Daughters Clinic, performing cataract and refractive surgery. He treats nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, and provides medical and laser therapy for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. He's a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and lives in Central Texas with his wife Julie and their two children.
